In 1938 Luke assisted the sculptor Morris Harding in a commission from the Northern Ireland Government to design and make a mural frieze for the Northern Ireland display at the Glasgow International Exhibition. Luke designed twelve panels that demonstrated the range of industrial achievement in Northern Ireland.
